The ideal candidate is responsible for all aspects of successfully managing daily store operations, time and duties management, effective product and service merchandising, solution selling and top-notch customer service.
Sales Associate (Part Time)
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure customers and SOSARL volunteers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly and welcoming experience. Engage every customer in conversation to determine their needs and provide them with appropriate product selections.
Complete POS transactions quickly and accurately.
Assist in all aspects of self wash operations, including but not limited to assisting with safe entry and exit of dog, proper instruction on functionality and process as well as ensuring a clean, dry and safe self wash and surrounding retail area.
Maintain solid product knowledge and keep current with new products and ideas.
Maintain a clean and organized store by dusting, facing product, restocking, etc.
Be able to safely regularly lift and move up to 50lbs at a time.
Assist in processing outbound shipments, incoming orders, merchandising and
monitoring floor stock to ensure all product is priced and displayed appropriately.
Assist in all aspects of cleaning the store including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, window washing, laundry, surface and bathroom cleaning.
Assist in light landscaping around the property (eg, weeding, litter pick-up).
Support SOSARL volunteers and supporters in their SOSARL tasks as they relate to the store as instructed by SOSARL coordinators/directors.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has 1-2 years of retail sales experience, familiarity with POS systems, and proficient computer skills; merchandising skills a plus.
Has outstanding customer service and communication skills and understands the value in developing strong relationships with customers through listening, guidance and education.
Has a strong desire to develop a strong knowledge of all store products and services. A strong candidate will be able to maintain knowledge of current sales/promotions and introducing those opportunities to customers.
Has to be able to work some weekday and weekend shifts as needed.
Is results driven with a history of success with self-learning, customer service, adapting to change, learning new skills quickly, and developing relationships.
Is a self-starter, has good friendly energy, and has a flexible and positive/can-do attitude.
Maintains a professional appearance and takes pride in presenting themselves as a direct reflection of our brand.
