OK. So first things first, the only person who will probably actually get this job will be an experienced lover of antiques and collectibles, and believe us if you're just trying to trick us into thinking you are when you're really not, we'll know instantly because every one of us is an antiques fanatic ourselves.

Simply put, we are hands down the best antiques mall in New England and perhaps the universe?
SO, if you're still reading this we're guessing you're getting psyched. You'll start out as a "key-person", and then move up to cashier. Then, depending on your strengths, you'll also take on other responsibilities like consignments, booth rentals, over-the-counter purchasing, house calls, auction buying, social media outreach, deliveries, advertising, website administration, appraisals, estate liquidations, online sales and who knows what else? We are always growing and changing and we welcome you to do it with us! We always try to promote from within.
REQUIREMENTS: For sure you're going to love what you do and learn new things every day, but here is what we require of you:
1. You MUST be reliable and show up to work on time every day.
2. You MUST be willing to work weekends and holidays. That's when we're busiest.
3. You MUST be able and willing to carry heavy items, do your share of bathroom servicing, and multi-tasking.
4. You MUST be kind, pleasant, and respectful to EVERY customer no matter how detestable you think they are.
We currently employ and always welcome workers and customers of every gender, race, sexual orientation, political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, etc. as long as you are able to comply with the (4) MUST's above.
COMPENSATION: Converting your interests into a career takes time, especially here at RIAM where our reputation is built on the skills and trustworthiness of our team. Thus, we start everyone out at a paltry $440/week. But don't worry you'll start getting pay increases in as little as 6 weeks and we'll continue to increase your compensation regularly as your skills grow until we get you to where you ought to be.
But the salary is not what it's all about at RIAM. You'll also make money through your own booth in the shop (we provide one for free once you're ready), and everyone gets to participate in bonus and incentive programs that usually amount to thousands of extra dollars every year. No doubt you'll also learn to sell you own stuff on-line and many of our staffers also do shows and flea markets as well. This is not just a retail job it is an opportunity to start a new career in a field you already know you love!
