Susan Freda Studios are looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to run ecommerce and marketing operations for their flagship brand Arn Krebs Arts. This individual will be responsible for managing all e-commerce sales and activity via Etsy and the brand's website, photographing/editing/publishing photography of finished jewelry items for promotion, implementing digital strategies (ie. advertising, social media, user experience) to grow the brand and overall business, and providing excellent customer service.â¨â¨This individual must possess both creative and technical skills that will help the brand market it's products online, but also foster customer loyalty, and a smooth sales process for the customer and production team.
Arn Krebs Arts specializes in custom rings and a rare metalsmithing technique called Mokume Gane, which has become very popular in the bridal world. A knowledge in Mokume Gane and general jewelry-making is preferred (but not required), and this individual will have to shadow the production team to become an expert in this field, in order to help customers design their rings and place their orders.
â¨Additionally, this individual will be responsible for shooting finished rings and editing images that will be used on Etsy and in website listings, which is responsible for a large portion of the company's business. This individual must have a proficient background in photography, re-touching, and graphic design (in addition to skills in sales and digital marketing) to ensure that all visual and verbal communications for the brand are at the highest quality possible. â¨â¨
This role must be performed on-site at our Warren, RI studio and the candidate will be asked to be present Monday - Friday, from 9am-4pm (approx. 30 hours per week). Compensation is hourly and will be based on skills and experience.

Customer Service & Salesâ¨
- This person will be responsible for all inquiries and orders that are received through ecommerce channels. They will also be responsible for sending invoices, tracking payments, maintaining a production calendar, and helping customers design their custom jewelry items.
Administrative & Reportingâ¨
- Aside from basic sales tracking, this person will be responsible for tracking a content library of photos, managing our shipping protocols, keeping our studio stocked with supplies, and any other administrative duties to manage the brand's online business.
Ecommerce & Web Developmentâ¨
- The brand's current website is built on Shopify and some basic HTML knowledge would be preferred. This role will be responsible for publishing our new items on the website, drafting blog posts, and leading website updates for aesthetic or sales initiatives. Some knowledge of graphic design will be necessary to make these updates.
Photography & Graphic Design
- â¨It is imperative that this new hire has some background in product photography and photo editing. All finished jewelry items are photographed in our studio, and the images must be edited and published for promotion. The studio has a full product photography setup and all necessary equipment is provided. A background in graphic design will also be necessary to use these photos (and other assets) in our marketing material (ie. flyers, social media ads, e-mail newsletters, etc.)
Digital Marketing & Social Mediaâ¨
- This person will also be responsible for suggesting, implementing, and tracking all digital marketing initiatives to drive new business and brand growth. Current initiatives include Facebook and Instagram advertising, Google AdWords and paid search advertising, weekly content calendars, monthly blog posts, e-mail newsletters, and influencer collaborations. â¨

A typical day in the life of this role includes...
â¨- Answering customer questions and inquiries for custom jewelry
- Designing and drafting custom quotes with our team based on the customer's' requests
- Drafting, sending, and tracking deposit invoices and payments
- Photographing and editing completed rings in our studio (equipment provided)
- Drafting, publishing, and optimizing new Etsy listings daily to improve our rank
- Drafting, publishing, and optimizing new product listing on our website
- Frequent website updates with new imagery, blog posts, and updates to improve visibility and the sales process (website is currently on Shopify)
- Shipping domestic and international orders to customers via UPS and USPS
- Managing and reporting on Paid Social Advertising
- Weekly and monthly sales and traffic reports to track sales and growth
- Designing digital and print assets for promotion or sales useâ¨â¨
