Join a growing commercial property management & construction team with properties in Southern New England seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician.
Primary Responsibilities
⢠Oversee, manage, and perform the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of property.
⢠Develop and maintain positive relationship with building tenants and client.
⢠Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, electrical and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities.
⢠Inspect tenant spaces to ensure minimum safety standards are met.
⢠Be the first point of contact for emergency situations. Effectively respond to and resolve all emergencies that may arise.
Skills / Requirements
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum five years experience in complete building operations. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Facilities/property management certifications a plus.
Ability to diagnose and repair issues related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
Minor electrical (able to install switches & outlets), plumbing (able to install toilets and faucets) & carpentry (able to install doors, cabinets, shelving, etc...) skills required
Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with executive clients, tenants, and vendors.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service.
Solid problem solving skills. Ability to think on your feet.
Hands-on experience using personal computer and Smartphone for work order system, email, etc.
Valid drivers license required
