Seeking an individual that has at least 8-10 years of “shop floor” experience in that they have worked in another production-oriented millwork shop at the workbench. This person should be capable of working “old school” on projects from shop drawings, whereby tasks would have been to take the project from inception to completion; They would’ve generated layouts and cut lists, cut the material, machined the material, assembled, laminated if required, sanded if required, installed hardware if required, etc.…
This candidate must have had some experience in a leadership role where he/she had to delegate work to others, oversee progress, guide others in their effort to carry out their part of the process, etc… Or have the interpersonal skills to do that. We’re describing this role as one where the leadership of others and a supervisory role is a longer term transition for business continuation. In the shorter term, the leadership role may be as the “second in command” when the current shop foreman is on vacation or absent the shop for any reason.
This position requires someone that takes pride in their work, ownership of their responsibilities and has a keen eye for quality control of our work as a whole. This person should work well with others, have diplomacy skills, have good common sense, foster pride, camaraderie and eagerness to do well.

Starting pay (at the bench) is $28.00 but may be negotiable based on experience. This wage increases as the role grows with responsibility.
