Lumetta is a commercial decorative lighting manufacturer. We are seeking a welder with at least 2 years of TIG welding experience. Our welder will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of metal parts and operation of metal shop equipment.
Essential Functions:
Interpreting mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism.
TIG Welding/Fabricating of light gauge steel and aluminum to company standards.
Proficient in the use of power brake, power shears, drill press and other miscellaneous metal shop equipment such as air grinders and polishers, sanders, saws both cold and band, and power and mechanical form benders. Knowledge of Bridgeport operation a plus.
Familiarity with operating (not programming) CNC equipment.
Ability to perform basic numerical calculations.
Ability to read Shop Build Drawings, other mechanical drawings, and Work Orders.
Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments and tools.
Work with existing jigs and templates to replicate existing fixtures.
Work to allowed tolerances and maintain Company quality standards.
Complete Work Orders, as assigned, and on time, to meet company production goals.
Able to perform data entry function for the material used into the Manufacturing software system.
Maintains welding equipment, as needed.
Maintains a safe work environment for oneself and others.
Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
High School graduate or GED
Skilled TIG welder
Successful completion of an internal welding test
Basic knowledge of manufacturing software systems.
Strong work ethic: on time, dependable, quality conscious, team player.
Five years’ experience in metal production.
General understanding of manufacturing practices and principles.
Communication skills both verbal and written.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Standing and walking are required on a frequent basis.
Walking up and down a flight of stairs multiple times a day.
Bending, squatting, pulling/pushing, reaching, and handling, on a frequent basis.
Hand manipulation and fine manipulation are required on a continuous basis.
Lifting, carrying, and pulling objects requiring 30 to 50 pounds of force, occasionally
