The Timber Frame Installer will be responsible for erecting and installing timber frame structures on-site across the northeastern United States. Success in this role hinges on your ability to work safely and effectively at elevated heights. While general carpentry knowledge is important, the primary value is in practical problem-solving during on-site construction. The ideal candidate is adaptive, resourceful, and thrives in a dynamic job site environment.
Primary responsibilities
Travel to job sites throughout the northeastern U.S. for frame installations
Erect and assemble timber frame structures according to architectural drawings
Assemble traditional wood joinery as well as fabricated steel connections and hardware
Operate and work in coordination with telehandlers, cranes, and other on-site equipment (note: crane operation/license is not required)
Work at elevated heights safely and efficiently
Anticipate and solve unexpected build issues with creativity and precision in real time
Lift or carry heavy material and/or tools (about 60-70 lbs)
Advocate for safe use of tools and equipment and general site safety
Communicate and collaborate with other project team members and site personnel
Qualifications
Willingness and ability to work at tall heights
Willingness to travel and stay across the northeastern U.S.
Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
Timber framing experience preferred but not required
Ability to interpret architectural drawings and execute installations with accuracy
Strong practical problem-solving skills in field conditions
Positive, proactive and helpful attitude with a willingness to learn
