The General Manager of VTS manages the day-to-day operations of the public transit system on Nantucket – the “Wave”. The General Manager will focus on safe, timely transportation in well-maintained vehicles by conscientious drivers with a focus on smooth operation and consistently positive customer experiences for riders of the Nantucket Regional Transit Authority. This goal will be achieved through keen, well-organized oversight with the assistance of our Operations Manager, Office Coordinator and Shift Supervisors.
This will require a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills who is willing and able to work a highly flexible schedule to ensure a structured office and garage environment, and triage any issues that occur - jumping in to assist as-needed. The pay scale will coincide with the expected level of experience as well as the ability to step up to the plate and problem solve.

VTS is a business unit of Mercedes Cab Company, Inc. (MCC).
MCC is a well-established transportation company located on Cape Cod, servicing all of Southeastern Massachusetts and beyond.
At this time, a clean Class D license is required - a CDL will be required in the near future.
Must have or attain a DOT medical card.
Must pass CORI/SORI and pre-employment physical and lab tests.
