Job Title: SuperintendentJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for multifamily and student housing projects throughout the region. This role involves active engagement in hands-on carpentry work, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project goals are met on time.Responsibilities
Oversee on-site construction activities while actively engaging in hands-on carpentry work.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials on the construction site.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
Perform basic carpentry tasks as needed, including framing, installation/repairs, miscellaneous metal work, finishing, and repairs.
Collaborate with the project manager to ensure project goals are achieved within the specified timeline.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site, actively participating in safety initiatives.
Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team.
Essential Skills
Wood Frame Multifamily Experience
OSHA 30 certification
Ability to travel throughout the Southeast
Proficiency with computers and iPads
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Project scheduling
Experience with Procore
General contractor experience
Request for Information (RFI) management
Carpentry skills
Construction management and supervision
Experience with change orders
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in commercial construction
Ground-up construction experience
Work EnvironmentThis position requires working on-site as a wood framing subcontractor for developers. The role involves traveling across six states: TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, and FL. Employees will be provided with a company vehicle and all travel accommodations. The company supports employees traveling home once per month to ensure the best performance and productivity. The work environment includes using various technologies and equipment, with an emphasis on maintaining safety and quality standards.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
