Description Robert Half is hiring! We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining computer networks, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the overall health of our network. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining our business operations and helping us serve our customers efficiently.Responsibilities: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer networks including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, wireless controllers, and WAN links. Monitor systems to improve performance and ensure network health. Diagnose and resolve networking issues in a timely manner while effectively communicating these issues to other employees and management. Continually update knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems. Implement necessary controls and procedures to protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices. Create and maintain network documentation. Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. Manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation, ensuring efficient deployment of networking systems such as switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless devices. Configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Proven experience as a Network Engineer in a manufacturing environment Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco Technologies Familiarity with Computer Hardware and its application in a manufacturing context Demonstrated experience working with Data Centers Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems Strong analytical skills to assess network performance and detect issues Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
