The Candidate Quantity Surveyor engages in all the Candidate Programme elements under the supervision of a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor.This programme introduces and develops essential business,  personal  and technical skills nurturing the Candidate Quantity Surveyor to provide quantity surveying assistance pre- and/or post-contract.
Technical Excellence:Completes the measurement of quantities for input into cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantitiesAssists with the preparation of tender documentationAssists with viability studies and cost estimatesAssists with implementing, maintaining and monitoring cost control procedures throughout the duration of a projectAssists with providing necessary input related to financial claimsAssists with evaluating variations, additions and omissions, etc, and incorporating these into monthly cost reports    Assists with preparing, pricing and negotiating change orders with clients and contractorsMarket tests rates and analyses tender returns for input into rates databases and estimates
