Here is what you will be doing:Technical Excellence:Conducts assignments in the mechanical engineering fieldHas a very good understanding of building codes and standardsCan integrate and coordinate designs with other built environment disciplinesUnderstands the statutory processes associated with the built environment and construction industryPlans, organises and manages moderately complex projectsMakes recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problemsPrepares and presents technical plans and reportsInstitutes changes in methods, designs or equipmentMay be Project leader on medium sized projectsCollects and analyses information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Fully develops the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality outputs by following project timelines.Participates in the interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection).Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, specifications, sketches, diagrams, specific discipline BIM models, drawings, reports, and tender documents.Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered.Performs work under the agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities, ensuring the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.Coordinates with authorities for scheme approvals.                                                        
Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain client relationships.Attends client meetings as technical support to gather information and discuss project requirements, explain/ defend work, etc.Participates in the development and preparation of bids and proposals—the ability to present solutions to clients in a professional and technically competent manner.
