The role is responsible to assist with the maintenance of the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene systems and is responsible for legal compliance monitoring and reporting.The focus areas for this role will be to manage and co-ordinate the following:Assist with ensuring that legal requirements, group standards and policies are adhered to:Ensure adherence to legal and corporate standards through monitoring and reportingMaintain VOHE strategies and Systems, Measure compliance to Section 11 and 12 of the Mine Health and Safety Act:Prepare, sample and report compliance to the Environmental Engineering and Occupational Hygiene Regulations of the Mine Health and Safety ActMonitor Airborne pollutant, air temperature, ventilation, noise, illumination and waterAnalyse the requirements of the Act and Regulations and keep a document describing occupation hygiene practice at the mine, ensuring that all reasonably practicable means or control of occupational hygiene exposure Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene programmes are properly administeredConduct daily VOHE inspections and record findings through providing information and advice on VOHE Matters related to specific areas and sections as well as advise on changes to plans, schedules, procedures and standards.Manage resources and assetsAssist in VOHE planning
