This is a contingent position forecasted for four years.Within this role, you will:Prepare detailed installation drawings and 3D geometry for engines and generator sets, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering informationDevelop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipmentCoordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problemsCompute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipmentMay design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis componentsCheck dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materialsLay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machinesRequired Skills/Experience:High school diploma or GEDExperience with 3D CAD software, preferably Pro/E (Creo), AutoCAD and/or InventorMust be able to work in a team environment as well as work on projects individuallyMust have a strong customer focusStrong verbal and written communication skills This position is located in Rapid City, SD. Candidates must be able to relocate to this location at their own expense. Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.
