Front Counter Customer Service Rep

MEDIACOM, a leading provider of cable and telecommunications services, has an excellent career opportunity for a qualified, self-motivated individual who wants to join the fastest growing cable telecommunications operations in the U.S. We are currently seeking candidates with FACE-TO-FACE Customer Service / Sales / and Cash Handling experience for the following position working in our Spirit Lake, IA office.

Customer Service Rep - Front Counter

(Work Schedule is Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm)

General Responsibilities: Provide a positive customer experience in a prompt and professional manner. Customer interactions include selling Mediacom services, resolving billing concerns, troubleshooting service issues, processing payments, equipment inventory and scheduling service and installation appointments.

Specific Responsibilities: Interact with customers in person to answer customer inquiries and solve problems regarding billing, services, and products. Utilize appropriate sales and retention guidelines to properly process customer requests to add or disconnect services. Exceed or maintain minimum sales ,quality and productivity standards. Demonstrate courtesy and patience in customer relations, Troubleshoot basic service issues and schedule on site service calls when necessary. Receive and process customer payments. Issue and receive equipment from customers. Perform standard counter activities as required such as equipment inventory and balancing cash drawer.

Required Skills, Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred 1 + years related experience preferred. Retail customer services and sales experience preferred. Effective communication and cash management skills. Customer service and/or sales experience preferred. Data entry and computer experience required. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, if needed. Ability to work overtime when needed. Ability to work independently and sit or stand for extended periods of time.
