Our market positions are an outcome of great work by employees who are committed to serving our customers.THE ROLEOperations Strategy Planning & Transformation team is seeking for a Strategy Consultant 3 to be a business process designer (Non-Technical role) for the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) ideation and delivery phases. The team is responsible for facilitating our strategic planning efforts for Operations as well as providing strategic consulting support for key transformational initiatives across Operations. Wells Fargo Operations has adopted a new class of technology as a solution to address business needs and support continuous improvement. Rapid (aka Robotic) Process Automation (RPA) is a component of Service Delivery Automation (SDA) to enable digital operations.Strategy Consultant 3 will be responsible for designing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) process orientation/requirements (BRD) and working with the LOB SME and technology leads to develop and deliver on requirements and solution design documentation while following software implementation standards. In this role, you will also be responsible for providing solution consultant guidance to new initiatives or those requiring additional assistance. Responsible for providing principal level strategic consulting services to client organizations utilizing comprehensive, in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding Wells Fargo RPA strategy and emerging automation trends. Partner with LOB and process subject matter experts to define the RPA business strategy and create/execute corresponding RPA initiatives.It will act as a liaison between Operations LOB area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with RPA solutions. Provide assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing RPA initiatives that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works within a dedicated Federated Automation Team within Operations, Operational Business Excellence, to resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepare specifications for automation changes. Recommend and initiates systems testing. Act as an internal consultant within RPA Federated Automation Team by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.More specific accountabilities will include, but not limited to:

Perform opportunity assessments to identify and prioritize business processes that are potential candidates for automation

Work with the business subject matter expert (SME), to analyze and capture a detailed process map and description in the Process Definition Document (PDD) or Business Requirements Document (BRD)

Fully and clearly document business processes to the granular level (click by click) of detail that is required for automation

Provide a PDD Walkthrough to the team to ensure all processes and exceptions are captured

Work with the Business SME and the solution development team to formulate and communicate solution options for the initial design as well as iteratively throughout the project as roadblocks are encountered, ensuring delivery of a solution that meets the business requirements

Work with the project team to document the Business Case and organize opportunity/technology assessments

Support and facilitate unambiguous and timely communication between business and technical participants in the project

Ensure the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide a cohesive whole for the business

Other activities include:

Support Operations business in the alignment of RPA and their needs/usage with their technology and business strategies

Represent process automation analysis and design functions to businesses to provide an RPA opportunity identification capability within the businesses

Lead the development of the RPA analysis and design methodology, including the related policies, procedures, tools and artifacts, to ensure a “rapid” implementation process that aligns with established release cycles and related enterprise standards

Complete the RPA assessments of business opportunities, to include an “as is” and “to be” (i.e. automated/partially automated process) process mapping, project sizing’s, business case analysis and recommended implementation approach

Manage the RPA aspects of funded projects and coordinate with project managers on the overall project status

Complete detailed RPA-specific requirements that leverage RPA capabilities and ensure that risk and compliance requirements are met

Complete peer reviews of Operations Automation team member analysis and design deliverables

Coordinate with the business and the RPA monitoring team to identify and provide solution designs for production issues and maintenance needs

Become an advisor for Operations Federated team in the analysis, design and testing of RPA solutions to critical business needs.

The preferred locations are Charlotte or Chandler; however, other locations may be considered.Required Qualifications:

5+ years of strategic planning experience

1+ year Robotic Process Automation experience

3+ years of process design or improvement experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD's)

Ability to gather information and create both business and technical requirement documentation

Experience with design, implementation and governance with Robotic Process Automation or Business Process automation architectures

Ability to act as a liaison between the technical design staff and business requester to ensure all requirements are met

Knowledge and understanding of Agile

Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes

Financial services industry experience

Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
