Title: Director of Technical Services
Location: MidWest-Dairy Region
Sedona AG Services is assisting in the search for a Director of Technical Services. The Director of Technical Services is responsible for all technical aspects of company products and will support the needs of customers, nutritionists, sales team, and Value-Added Resellers (VAR) by utilizing knowledge, expertise, customer feedback, and current research. This position will also focus on supporting add-on sales with existing customers and ensure customer satisfaction by providing product quality information as well as analysis, research, and results from research trials and other sources of credible information.
Key Responsibilities: Director of Technical Services
-Responsible for all product technical aspects of the business
-Lead product development by formulating new products which provide incremental economics to the business
-Manage all aspects of existing and future research and development, 3rd parties trials and on-farm demonstrations
-Evaluate and communicate the nutritional value of products and competitive products and application to ruminant animals
-Maintain an understanding of the changes the nutritionist or customer would like to make to their diets and provide best practices advice on transitioning the diet
-Effectively communicate product value proposition and its economic benefit to customers
-Manage company Technical Services and Product R&D staff to stay current on all aspects of company technical support to advance sales and customers success with company products including specifications, competitive analysis, research, ration software characterization validations, revising and distributing feed libraries, etc.
-Train and support the sales team with current information on the value of products, how products fit into rations, and applicable nutrition concepts;
-Hold training webinars for customers, nutritionist, and VARs;
-Work closely with key large customers and nutritionists to understand their nutritional needs and opportunities to improve their income over feed costs
-Identify strategic industry leaders, influencers, and organizationsÂ
-Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and the sales team to arrive at strategic product positioning and messages to communicate to the field
-Stay current on relevant industry research and industry trends
-Implement and oversee customer concern process within Microsoft Dynamics CRM;
-Make on-farm visits to key accounts to confirm customer satisfaction;
Requirements: Director of Technical Services
-Minimum of a Masters in Ruminant Nutrition required
-5-10 years of working experience in ruminant nutrition
-Experience with applied animal research and product development
-Ability to communicate with cross functional teams including: Senior Management, Investors, Board of Directors, Customers, Sales Staff, and R&D team
