Cricut is looking for a Senior Systems Quality Engineer to help ensure our products work reliably as complete systems. This role combines hardware test engineering, product quality, reliability testing, Test Development Engineering (TDE), and system-level validation across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and customer use cases.This person will support new product development from early prototypes through mass production and sustaining phases, helping identify risks, validate product performance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure Cricut products are ready for customers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, data-driven, comfortable working in a lab environment, and able to partner closely with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, supplier quality, and operations teams.This role will also work closely with Cricut’s ODM and JDM manufacturing partners to monitor and improve product quality throughout all phases of development, manufacturing, and sustaining support. The engineer will play a key role in ensuring Cricut cutting machines and heated products meet system-level quality expectations across software, hardware, electrical, firmware, calibration, and manufacturing readiness prior to release.Role SummaryThis role is for someone who can evaluate product quality from the complete customer experience, not just individual components. The role will additionally support ODM/JDM manufacturing engagements, helping maintain product quality and manufacturing consistency across global manufacturing partners.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans for new products, including environmental, reliability, durability, and system-level validation testing.
Test and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, software, connectivity, and manufacturing-related issues todetermine root cause. 
 Validate that complete Cricut systems work as intended, including device behavior, app-to-device communication, firmware updates, calibration, error handling, and customer workflows. 
Analyze test data, field issues, manufacturing data, and product performance trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities. 
Support product readiness reviews at EVT, DVT, MPQ, and MP milestones. 
Lead or support root-cause analysis, 8D investigations, CAPA actions, and corrective/preventive improvements. 
Create clear test reports, risk summaries, failure analyses, and recommendations for cross-functional teams. 
Work with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, supplier quality, and customer support teams to resolve product issues. 
Support product risk analysis activities such as DFMEA, PFMEA, NUDD, and lessons learned reviews. 
Develop new test methods, improve existing tests, and help automate testing where practical. 
Train and guide technicians or lab personnel during test setup, execution, and data collection. 
 Maintain lab equipment, test fixtures, supplies, and documentation needed for reliable testing. 
Stay current on relevant quality, reliability, test, and industry standards.Partner closely with ODM and JDM manufacturing partners to monitor product quality throughout NPI development, manufacturing ramp, mass production, and sustaining phases. Support Test Development Engineering (TDE) activities, including development and validation of manufacturing test strategies, calibration processes, fixtures, and production test coverage. Ensure Cricut products are thoroughly tested and calibrated throughout development and production to maintain consistent system-level performance and manufacturing quality. Perform hands-on system-level validation and troubleshooting across Cricut cutting machines and heated products, including hardware, electrical, firmware, software, and connectivity systems. Drive system-wide quality readiness for product releases by identifying and resolving cross-functional issues impacting customer experience, reliability, manufacturability, and product performance.
