This Senior Developer is responsible for the development of Group Life Insurance applications and other tools/applications. This role will require you to translate business requirements into high quality, technical solutions whilst contributing to the culture of continuous innovation within the team and will require in-depth technical knowledge of the Group Life applications in a short time, TAL’s agile delivery methods and the Group insurance business domain.If you have prior experience in developing with cloud platform as a service resources or are willing to develop themselves in this respect, this could be the role for you. Candidates with experience in modern, cloud-based API development will receive particular consideration.In this role, you will:Understand the technology strategy and systems roadmap for Group Life and produce technical designs that are in alignmentBreak down user stories into tasks and provide sizing estimatesDevelop reliable, usable software which meets business requirements within the required timeframes while minimising technical debtDevelop efficient, effective, secure and highly available solutionsProvide Level 3 support for the software that the team buildsScript and execute automated tests as requiredWrite user stories as requiredContribute to the strong culture of high quality, continuous improvement and innovation by following existing standards, helping to identify and enforce improvements to standards as required and sharing ideas and experience Contribute to the long-term maturity and future-proofing of the Group Life applications
