Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Controller who will to join our Kumba Iron Ore family. You will be involved in planning the stacking and reclaiming of the products. Other duties will involve the following:

• Effectively managing the activities of all role players on the shift
• Engaging with Transnet personnel, Stevedores, Sampling Plant personnel and the Trucking companies’ personnel to ensure that everyone is aligned
• Ensuring the optimal offloading of trains at the Port considering the quality of products received from different mines
• Receiving quality updates from the Sampling Plant as vessel is being loaded and make required reclaiming
• Planning which stockpile to reclaim from a vessel loading on a shift.
• Receiving quality updates as vessel is being loaded and make changes as need be to reclaiming instructions
• Changing stacking and reclaiming plans should there be breakdowns to equipment
• Ensure application of all SHEQ standards on the shift to facilitate a safe and healthy work environment
• Discuss different shifts various learnings, to continuously improve performance

Qualifications

• Grade 12/ Matric
• 3-5 years’ experience in the Quality Control field
• Knowledge in computer literacy in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Valid South African driver's license
