Job Description

You will take on a range of differenttasks under the direction of your team leader. The focus is completing trainingtasks efficiently, with safety at the front of your mind. As the

Senior Shift Supervisor Mining Trainingyou will beresponsible to:

• Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act requirements regarding theoretical and practical skills development facilities underground with reference to competence and Legal appointments.
• Execution and delivery of all technical mining skills training phases in the underground (constrained) environment.
• Maintenance of MQA accreditation criteria within the designated area of responsibility.
• Facilitate progressive reports on predetermined targets for mining skills development.

This role is in the Business ImprovementDepartment at a D1level reporting to the Business Improvement Specialist (Non Production Mine Overseer).

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience will be required:

• Rock Breaking Certificate / Blasting Certificate
• Shift Supervisor Certificate
• NQF 4 Certificate in OD ETDP (Advantageous)
• Coaching NQF Level 3(Advantageous)
• Assessor Certificate(Advantageous)
• 5 years’ experience as an Underground Production Shift Supervisor
• MS Office computer skills
