Description
Robert Half Technology is looking for a talented Desktop Support Technician who is able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an easily understandable and concise format for a company in the Manufacturing industry. This Desktop Support Technician role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment. Located in the Bartlett, Tennessee, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is short-term temporary in nature.
Your responsibilities
- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions
- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Curate records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Requirements
- Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server
- Microsoft SCCM - System Cntr Config Mgr experience preferred
- IBM AIX experience required
- Active Directory experience
- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
