What You Get To Do:The Director, Facility Management assesses, directs and coordinates the preventive maintenance management programs for repair and upkeep of facility building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, HVAC, machinery, equipment, electronics and grounds on a company-wide basis.Provides project management, support services, and safety for assigned facilities.

Promotes partner-focused service in conjunction with other departments.

Identifies areas for improvement and implements process changes to achieve cost savings, increase efficiencies, and eliminate process waste.

Performs Maintenance Audits to assist facility Maintenance staff in complying with Policies and Correctional Best Practices

Contributes as a leader in development of standards and sharing best practices throughout the entire portfolio.

Interprets company policies; enforces safety regulations and monitors departmental compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures as well as standards established by OSHA, NFPA, ADAAG and ACA.

Serves as a key staff member of Facilities Management’s team in the development of strategic plans, which support institutional goals implemented through operational business units.

Partners with other CoreCivic divisions to provide full-service facilities management operations to support the company's vision and mission.

Assists in developing and deploying environmental sustainability initiatives and energy use reduction programs and will ensure they are integrated into all facilities operations.

Effectively presents information and responds to questions from supervisors, staff members, contractors, business contacts, representatives from governmental agencies and the general public.

Reviews Utility and Repair & Maintenance data in order to evaluate and recommend steps/procedures to reduce utility consumption and ensure that the Repair & Maintenance fund is being managed accordingly.

Develops training materials and assists in training maintenance staff to become better managers and stewards of the physical plant.

Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is required.

Five years of experience in a leadership role managing facilities operations in a large institution or commercial facility is required.

Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Extensive knowledge of building construction and the operation of building systems is required. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and direct the activities of others towards the accomplishment of goals.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.

Local and long distance travel is required

Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required.
