Senior Business Analyst

Job DescriptionThis Sr. Business Analyst will analyze and translate business and clinical user needs, observations, and expertise, and then design an IT solution to enhance steady state and/or build a new product. Responsibilities will be broken down as follows: 20% of Focus:o Design IT solutions to meet the business' strategic goals by eliciting requirements from product managers, product directors, product owners, UX teammates, business SMEs, development and QA leads, and executive leadership. 10% of Focus:o Create and update requirements artifacts such as Solution Requirements Specifications, use cases, screen layouts, process flows, functional and non-functional requirements, and other design artifacts as needed.o Ensure each artifact complies with quality standards set out by the Requirements Team leadership, and for conducting and facilitating requirements review sessions to ensure understanding across business and IT groups.o Maintain those requirements through the life of the project, and raising awareness with mitigating strategies when issues arise that may impact budget or timelines. 10% of Focus:o Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) and Kaizen sessions for the purpose of collecting and defining the business and functional requirements required to properly design a product. 10% of Focus:o Lead and facilitate interactions between clinical teams, business system end-users and technical teams, such as requirement gathering and crafting sessions, solution design sessions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), post-deployment feedback sessions, and status meetings. 10% of Focus:o Serve as a liaison between the delivery teams that are engaged in implementing the solution and the business partners that will be using the solution, as well as interact daily with development engineers, QA analysts. 10% of Focus:o Provide additional leadership to projects that are extra-sensitive or highly complex and by assisting in routing work and filling in gaps where needed. 5% of Focus:o Review and provide feedback for training materials and product communications developed by the launch and training teams.o Conduct train-the-trainer and demo sessions as needed for trainers, helpdesk/support teams, and business partners. 5% of Focus:o Support production deployments by ensuring a smooth delivery with communication to product management and product owners in the event of any deployment issues.o Conduct validation on deployed functionality to ensure everything is working as expected immediately after a production deployment, and coordinate business partner validation of deployed functionality during a production release. 5% of Focus:o Coach other Client on proper approach to crafting and assembling requirements documentation, provide feedback via peer reviewso Serve as a resource for in the event the manager of the team is unavailable. 5% of Focus:o Other duties as assignedWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com .   To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/ .Skills and RequirementsRequired Skills and Expertise: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or other relevant degree 8-10 years of relevant BA experience Ability to grasp complex clinical and business requirements and processes and document them effectively. Experience writing all types of requirements for a software application. Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle using iterative methodologies. Skilled in leading JAD sessions. Career path must have included supporting software development projects using Waterfall (stronger in Waterfall)and Agile Methodologies. Strong analytical thinker with the ability to conceptualize a system in terms of both data/object model and application flows. Well versed in creating the following documents: Solution Requirements Specifications, use cases, screen layouts, process flows, functional and non-functional requirements. Extensive background creating Functional Business Requirements and Functional Specifications Strong background supporting Application Development and data integration initiatives. Strong experience articulating, eliciting, understanding, defining, and writing detailed level requirements based on defined capabilities and features. Must fully understand the requirements documentation process. The ideal candidate will have experience with workflow design. Needs to be familiar with, adhere to, and enforce software development life cycle practices. Strongly skilled in the process of requirements elicitation, investigation, and ability to apply critical thinking in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Experience supporting production deployments. Exceptionally skilled in the following areas:o Communicating in the English language, both verbally and in writing.o Coordinating and facilitating meetings, both face-to-face and with remote attendees, with demonstrated ability to clearly state objectives and accomplish meeting objectives.o Coordinating sensitive conversations amongst stakeholders with differing viewpoints, and ability to bring those groups into a commonly-understood alignment. Desired Skills and Expertise: Experience training end users. Healthcare Information systems, revenue cycle, and clinical user experience Strong experience building simple SQL Queries required. Ability to work with and manage strong personalities. Able to handle pressure from multiple directions business, dev and can work under tight timelines. Skilled in working with different business groups across an organization. Ability to manage conflicting priorities. Highly organized and self-managed/motivated Ability to work with and manage strong personalities. Able to handle pressure from multiple directions business, dev and can work under tight timelines. Needs to be able to jump in, get up to speed quickly, and run with it.Preferred Skills and Expertise: Previous data analysis position is a big plus. Understanding of data models required Data integration and data mapping experience Experience supporting mapping documents (mapping data back to systems and adding transformation data) Skilled in working with JIRA. Healthcare industry experience (more clinical apps or Information Exchange experience than Revenue Operations) highly preferred nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
