Sr Developer, IT MarketingOverall Job SummaryThis position is responsible for developing, configuring, building, reviewing and unit testing software/analytical solutions for IT Marketing/Loyalty programs. The Developer will provide a consultative presence in the Marketing area of the Tractor Supply business which allows a deep understanding of the pace, direction, and needs of business partners.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Develop and/or configure, build, review and unit test marketing reporting and software/solutions.

Meet with technical leads, architects and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines.

Work directly with business partners to capture and refine business requirements into core system capabilities.

Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and validating Marketing Reporting solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsible for designing test cases and supporting test case execution.

Work directly with the business users to provide support including the design and development of customer training materials, and conducting customer training sessions.

Work with Enterprise teams to ensure changes are properly documented, communicated, audited, and deployed in compliance with established procedures.

Participate in 24x7 on call rotations.

Mentor team members on new technologies in area of expertise

Required QualificationsExperience : 5 - 9 years’ experience developing and supporting Business Intelligence tools such as BusinessObjects, MicroStrategy, or Cognos.Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer systems design or computer science. Any combination of education and experience will be considered.Professional Certifications : Certifications in Data Warehousing concepts and techniques are preferred.Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required is preferred.

Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

Strong knowledge of database systems and ETL software tools including best practices and methodologies.

Strong data analysis, data architecture and data modeling experience and familiarity with data modeling design tools (e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner, ERStudio, etc.)

Strong understanding of Business Intelligence tools, including Business Objects.

Strong understanding of in-house data-intensive applications, including Cognos Planning is preferred.

Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies is preferred.

Strong presentation skills are preferred.

Strong technical architecture and technical support documentation skills is preferred.

Strong understanding of project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, and the change management processes is preferred.

4 year’s database development experience, writing ANSI SQL and working with database platforms such as Netezza, Oracle, or SQL Server.

Experience working with Big Data tools and languages such as Hadoop, Hive, R, etc.

Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology is preferred
