I own a family-run business and I'm needing to contract to someone who can take care of local pickups/dropoffs for me. This is a contract positionyou get paid to complete the tasks I need done.
Typically we have around 20-25/week.
Here's what you'll be doing:
>Answering calls from people and giving quotes over the phone. Calls come in 7 days/week.
>Arranging pickups with customers, meeting customers 5-6 days/week.
>Keeping accurate records via an online shared google spreadsheet (you'll need a computer with internet)
>You'll reconcile your records weekly to get paid.
Requirements:
Must be friendly and comfortable talking to strangers on the phone
Must be able to answer calls on the cell phone we provide from 9am-6pm each day
Must have a reliable vehicle and able to make several runs around town each day, 5-6 days/week
Must have a smartphone and be very comfortable calling, texting, managing contacts
Must have access to a computer or smartphone and internet for completing records
Compensation:
I will compensate based on each run completed. Typically pickups will earn $10-20/ea.
Ideal Candidate
-The ideal candidate will have ample free time each day to take calls and meet with customers. Must be able to answer live phone calls throughout the day.
-Our best couriers are retired folks wanting to stay busy and earn some extra income, online students, and others who are not working regular 9-5 jobs.
-Professional adult able to work on your own without constant supervision
-Honest and reliable
This is a contracted positionyou'll be paid directly and all income will be reported on a 1099-MISC.
