Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the Manufacturing industry, located in Cleveland Tennessee. The role involves providing analytical support, managing KPIs, performing cost analysis, and assisting with various financial operations.Responsibilities: Provide analytical support to Plant Controller and manage KPIs. Perform cost analysis for the manufacturing plant. Update and publish daily KPI reports. Assist with the monthly financial close, including managing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and management reporting. Help in the preparation of Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Deployment Plan, and monthly forecasting. Assist in the preparation of capital spending budgets and forecasts, work with project managers on capital spend tracking and timing, and perform audits of capital projects and existing assets. Track and forecast all cost savings projects for the manufacturing plants. Work with Supply Chain on inventory analysis and initiatives and coordination of physical inventory. Assist in maintaining all internal controls as well as assisting with all external and internal audits. Provide analytical support to Operational Excellence when applicable and participate in various lean events.ClevelandRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Functions Experience with Auditing Proficiency in Billing Functions Knowledge of Annual Standard Cost Experience with Financial Statement preparation Ability to Review Financial Statements Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting Experience with Forecasting and Modeling Manufacturing industry experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required CPA certification or relevant certification is preferred Strong understanding of GAAP Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
