The potential incumbent will lead a team made up of traffic operations crew workers and electricians, transportation/mobility focused project managers, traffic signal design specialists, and engineers.The Director Intelligent Cities position will include researching, analyzing, and implementing a broad range of transportation, public safety and mobility projects. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.)Leads the delivery of all intelligent transportation projects for Chattanooga.Offers innovative approaches to future city ambitions by developing innovative transportation master plans and processes based on global trends but considering local contexts and demands.Creates an innovation roadmap that reviews, evaluates, implements, and prioritizes advanced transportation projects.Identifies and prioritizes Intelligent City projects based on their potential impact on the city and its residents, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.Run the Chattanooga Smart Community Collaborative under the direction of the co-leaders, CIO of the City of Chattanooga, and the CEO of The Enterprise Center.
