Hours may vary due to work assignments or projects.Work Location:City Hall Midtown, 6098 Debra Rd.FLSA Status:This is aNon-Exemptposition.Department:Early LearningCLASSIFICATION SUMMARY:Under supervision of the Foster Grandparent Director, recruits, trains, coordinates, plans and operates volunteer services at volunteer stations; implements data collection ensuring performance goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Work is performed under general supervision.SERIES LEVEL:This is a stand alone position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.)Interviews, screens and completes all required forms for applicant eligibility.Maintains documented contact with volunteer stations regarding all aspects of assigned volunteers to include, but not limited to, performance measurements, schedules, disputes and mediation.Performs volunteer and station coordinator surveys. Coordinates and processes volunteer transportation.Maintains volunteer service and volunteer station files to include correspondence and required documentation.Disseminate necessary documents to appropriate staff. Performs annual volunteer station site visits; completes station site visit questionnaire; reports site visit findings to Program Director.Develops and implements on-going recruitment and public awareness campaigns according to grant requirements through various media and personal contact.Provides new enrollee orientation, monthly volunteer in-service training and station coordinator training.Must meet regular attendance requirements.Must be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships with staff, co-workers, managers and citizens.Must accomplish the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner.Performs other duties as assigned.DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES(if any):MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:An Associate Degree from an accredited two year college preferably in Human Services, Social Work, Gerontology, Education, Public Relations or related field and two years related experience. or any combination of equivalent experience and education/training sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS:A valid driver's license is required.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations. Skill in computer usage and related software applications; responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies and business community; ability to interact effectively with public, coworkers and supervisor.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing and seeing.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
