Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources Receptionist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role primarily focuses on managing the front desk operations within our Government sector team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic workplace where they will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and providing administrative support to the HR team.Responsibilities: Manage the reception area and ensure it's always clean and organized Greet and welcome visitors and employees in a professional manner Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate HR staff or department Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, and appointments for the HR department Maintain and update employee records and ensure all documentation is properly filed Prepare and distribute HR-related communications, memos, and documents Coordinate onboarding activities, including preparation of new hire packets and organization of orientation sessions Manage office supplies for the HR department, ensuring necessary items are ordered and stocked Handle basic employee inquiries and direct complex issues to the appropriate HR personnel Enter and update employee information in HR databases and systems Facilitate the sign-in process for visitors, ensuring compliance with company security policies. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the government sector Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals Ability to handle a multi-line phone system and efficiently direct calls Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle inquiries in a professional manner Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Experience with email correspondence and ability to draft professional emails Organizational skills, particularly in relation to file management Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars effectively.
