Relocation: Relocation benefits are not offered for this position.Posting Open: 01/29/2024 Posting Close: 02/07/2024 at 11:59 pm EST Salary: $111,345 - $167,015 Job Summary Serves as an expert for the Nuclear Power system in the electrical area for the maintenance & modification of plant equipment, components, and systems. Conducts and provides expert advice to others engaged in the performance of productivity studies, work planning, life expectancy analysis, vendor performance analysis, failure analysis, and other investigative maintenance practices to improve equipment productivity. Performs inspections of mechanical and complex controls to discover causes of malfunctions or maintenance problems and develops work plans, procedures and process improvements to implement corrective action and ensure recurrence control. Responsible for providing authoritative advice, technical direction, and procedural and regulatory interpretation to private contractors, partners, and TVA organizations (e.g., equipment specifications and modification and design needs). Responsible for providing work management and work management system support (WMS) to TVA and partner organizations to ensure consistency and integrity of system, data, and processes. May provide technical direction to various craftsmen, maintenance specialist and other professional employees in the pursuit of maintaining equipment performance and optimizing processes. Provides recommendations on staffing, equipment requirements, and work management methods to meet business objectives. Ensures workforce is adequately trained in all necessary functions to safely and effectively perform the job. Supervision Received Plans and executes assignments with minimal instructions. Determines scope, resource requirements, and priorities based on outlined objectives. Resolves unusual problems through use of seasoned judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness. Consults as needed with engineers and managers. Completed projects are checked for conformance to policy and program requirements and timeliness. Skills and Proficiencies (May be job or organization specific) Expert skills in maintenance or modification specialty areas; Technical decision making; Expert knowledge of problem Solving skills (Root cause analysis); Communication - Verbal & Technical; writing; Interpretation of vendor manuals; Inspection procedures; Knowledge of Work Management System; Contract administration skills; Expert knowledge of Maintenance Processes and Construction equipment & tools; Customer service techniques (WMS) and Methods Minimum Qualifications (Consistent with Classification Standard)Education and Experience/Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements/Other Requirements High school diploma is required; additional technical education is desirable. Expert knowledge of plant components, systems, plant operations and maintenance, work management methods and the work management system is required. A.S. technical degree, experience as electrical maintenance foreman, electrical maintenance specialist, or completion of special OEM training courses is highly desirable.
