Description This search is being conducted by Kevin GreenWe are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team located in CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee, United States. As a Staff Accountant, your main duties will involve the management of the general ledger, the provision of accurate and timely financial data, and supporting external audit and tax filings. Responsibilities: Handle the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger Support the delivery of accurate and timely financial data for the financial statement process Carry out research and analysis of financial statement activity Assist in the annual external audit and tax filings processes Contribute to the setting of departmental goals Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries Oversee month-end close procedures Prepare financial statements Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Director.Requirements Proficiency in executing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable experience with General Ledger management Capability to create accurate Journal Entries Proficiency in handling Month End Close responsibilities Ability to efficiently prepare Financial Statements Relevant experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance sectors is preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Knowledge of accounting software and systems Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
