Atlanta West Carpets, LLC is a flooring, cabinet and countertop installation company. Our customers are homebuilders and general contractors in the Southeast. We are looking for a field representative to monitor flooring and cabinet jobs in the Chattanooga, TN and northwest GA market area. Experience installing flooring is preferred.
The Field Representative is responsible for coordinating onsite installations of flooring, ceramic tile, LVT, wood, carpets, cabinets and any other scopes under agreement. Coordinating installations requires a combination of organization and communication with customer field builders, AWC Account Managers, and installation subcontractors. The AWC representative is required to pre-walk jobsites to ensure conditions are ready for installation and know how to react when conditions are not so. The Representative will also continuously monitor installation methods to ensure quality and that proper installation methods are being adhered to. This requires a working knowledge of installations methods as defined by industry standards. The Representative will serve as the direct onsite liaison as a representative of AWC and is required to clearly communicate to both the customer and contractors on behalf of AWC.
Responsibilities:
Review and understand all installation requirements with AWC Operations as it relates to product, scope, and install method
Ability to read and understand work orders, blue prints/plans, specifications, and then correlate with diagrams showing designs using varying types of cabinets and flooring material. All work instructions are to be verified to match provided diagrams, and any discrepancies are to be resolved before work begins
Prepare notes regarding job progress and be prepared to discuss the state of each project during regularly weekly or bi-weekly departmental meetings.
Maintain a professional relationship with customer and other subcontractors
Pre-walk areas to receive ceramic tile, LVT, wood, carpet, cabinets and any other scopes under contract to ensure readiness.
Monitor installations to ensure all products within our scope including proper finish material, underlayment, waterproofing, correct adhesives, transitions, and protection are being installed properly and are 100 % complete
Monitor installations to ensure compliance with industry installation methods
Monitor installations to ensure quality
Post-walk areas that have been installed to ensure areas are complete and that quality is in compliance with AWC standards
Maintain awareness of all job schedules and coordinate efforts with AWC Internal Ops effectively
Maintain customer installation schedule
Schedule deliveries if needed with customer, and coordinate with AWC personnel, and subcontractor
Paperwork or electronic reporting responsibilities: Field initiated change orders, Daily reports, Safety reports, Any other required report as per agreements
Attend all onsite meetings
Coordinate subcontractors
o Enforce safety requirements: Tool inspections, PPE, Safety training as required by customer
o Scheduling
o Daily clean up
Problem solving
Responsible for timely completion of punch lists
As a liaison of AWC, the Representative is sometimes required to be on site when AWC subcontractors are present. Saturday work is at the discretion of the Operations Manager.
Ongoing industry training required and will be made available

Ability to do mathematical calculations to estimate quantities, provide field measurements when needed, and the ability to determine time, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity to a timely completion

Must have a valid driver license and insurance that meets the company’s requirements at all times

OSHA 10 required (we will provide)
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Required to walk around on jobsites, step up or down, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to inspect, repair or install product.
Required to ascend and descend multiple stairwells frequently.
Lifting up to 50-100 pounds.
Driving long distances in interstate highways.
Work Environment:
Loud to Very loud noise at jobsites.
Potential for intense heat or cold on jobsite
