Well-established company with a 30 year history in dentistry is currently opening a new state of the art dental practice in Fort Campbell.
Seeking Full-Time Dental Hygienist to work along side us as we service active duty personnel, their dependents, and retired service connected veterans in the area.
Summary: Performs dental measures designed to preserve teeth and prevent the spread of oral disease by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Participate in daily Morning Huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
Performs comprehensive exam of gums to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease. In addition, feels lymph nodes under patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer. Feels and visually examines gums for sores and signs of disease.
Applies fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
Enter treatment plan into computer.
Present Treatment Plan to patients.
Administers local anesthetic agents.
Perform prophylaxis.
l 0. Render soft tissue management as outlined by the American Academy of Periodontology (scaling, root planning, incidental curettage, sub-gingival irrigation and developing personalized homecare program for periodontal patients.)
Provides health education to improve and maintain oral health.
Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in the work area.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry.
Promote treatment plans and encourage patients to begin treatment.
Monitor key indicators each day to evaluate attainment of goals. Meet or exceed company scorecard targets for Dental Hygienists.
Always maintains a professional demeanor.
