Candidate sought for the position of Payroll/Billing Clerk to assist in our accounting department. This position will perform tasks in which pertain to employee/payroll records. Duties will include data entry, validation and auditing of work performed, and general administrative tasks. This is a work at home position. Must have high speed internet.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Practices high level of good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality of sensitive information regarding department activities
Runs payroll reports
Assure compliance with all mandated, court ordered deductions and process each within the dictated time frames.
Assure all hours worked are properly entered into the payroll system either through time clock transmittals or data entry via manual time sheets.
Perform data entry associated with employee payroll
Responsible for keying all direct deposit entries
Assist in benefit enrollment
Reconcile records of bank transactions.
Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to develop relationships within the Accounting Office and with employees as required
Ability to work independently in resolving issues proactively
Flexibility, multi-tasking, creative thinking, good business judgment, strong organizational & communication skills are all required to meet strict deadlines
Must be a strong team player, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure during peak periods
Ability to communicate well with internal and external partners, including other locations, customers and banks
Flexibility to extend hours as required to meet business demands
Education High School diploma or greater
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office
Although this is an entry level position, preference will be given to those candidates with some payroll experience.
