The Sr. Systems Analyst Design Applications is responsible for developing and delivering solutions that maximize the return on investment of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) application platforms. Using their strong knowledge and experience in engineering design, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software, this role will deliver solutions that create a competitive advantage and address technical and strategic challenges in product development.

Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the IT solution architects and other system analysts to devise solutions to complex problems that support the company strategies and objectives.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
  • Monitor trends in the industry to ensure best practices are being introduced.
  • Identify process improvements based on the future roadmap of tools within scope.
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure a full understanding for the short and long-term needs
  • Optimizes the delivery of services by setting standards, metrics, and risk mitigation plans
  • Adheres to global IT standards, policies and procedures and coordinate related activities with global IT teams and stakeholders
  • Develops and delivers user training and presentations on new systems and upgrades
  • Responsible for technical aspects of project completion and user satisfaction including testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Support CAD/CAE version upgrades through planning and coordination with all IT business stakeholders for all phases of the project including the development of installation packages, test plans, and coordinating deployment and stabilization.
  • Works directly with CAD-related vendors and with other technical service personnel to coordinate major technical issues, projects, deliverables, and services

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of related job experience
  • Highly experienced with the use and best practices for Creo Parametric. Experience with AutoCAD, and Inventor is a plus. Experience with the deployment and administration of CAE and CAM tools is also a plus.
  • Must understand the fundamentals and techniques for good CAD data management in the context of an enterprise PLM system platform
  • Excellent working knowledge of scripting methods in order to automate IT tasks such as to create an automated installation package.
  • Experienced in techniques in development of CAD environments using C, C, C#, VB.NET, Python or similar
  • Able to build and maintain good partnerships to business stakeholders at all levels
  • Broad technical IT knowledge and awareness of industry trends
  • Excellent Communication skills, both orally and written
  • Possess skills and experience in data analysis methodologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, including hardware, software and basic networking.
  • Able to apply critical thinking and collaborative approaches to improving services and solving technical challenges
  • Ability to effectively document processes
  • Experienced with principles of agile software development methodologies
  • A good understanding of CAD model design basics and MBD principles including familiarization with existing applicable modeling and drafting standards
  • Large assembly management knowledge using top-down or modular product architecture strategies.
  • Willingness to learn new developments and industry best practices related to CAD/CAM/CAE as well as ongoing enhancements to Creo modules and extensions.
  • Comfortable and effective working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, globally

Location:
  • La Crosse WI, Clarksville, TN, Davidson, NC, or Minneapolis MN. Other locations will be considered for ideally qualified candidates.

Base Pay Range (for Colorado Residents): For Salaried positions - $79,000-165,500
Additional Compensation: Local Incentive Plan 5%-20%
