Job Title: Business Service Coordinator
Reports to: Business Services Administrator
Job Description:
The Business Service Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of serving
businesses in the Upper Cumberland. This position will provide quality customer service to
businesses to provide companies with potential work ready individuals, through
communication, and education of services that can be provided through a partnership
between the Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Board and the Empower Team.
Job Responsibilities:
? Develop a strong understanding of business customer needs
? Recognize and adapt to current employment trends and changing markets
? Work closely with Business Service Administrator and Business Service Team in order
to develop a focused business outreach plan
? Communicate the programs vision, models, and long-term strategies
? Utilizes strong communication skills and customer-service approach in order to maintain
and procure participants, and businesses
? Complies with company policies, values, business code, and all other company-related
procedures
? Maintain accurate records for services provided to businesses through the State of TN
database
? Promote established talent pipelines for directly referring quality candidates to support
workforce needs
? Travel to counties within the Upper Cumberland
? Oversees service strategies and develops proactive engagement plans to ensure quick
and effortless resolution of business customer issues and concerns
? Performs outreach to businesses and attends community events
Minimum qualifications:
? Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent, but preferred post-secondary
degree in business-related field
? One-year experience in customer service that involved creating business contacts and
promoting of services
? Public relations mindset when performing duties and presenting services
? Ability to use office and computer systems/software
? Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
? Strong work ethic while being teachable
? Function as part of a team
? Create and present reports
Preferred qualifications:
? Four-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or
similar discipline. Equivalent experience in business services role will be
considered.
