At least six months previous related work experience preferred.
Work Experiences:
Previous work experience preferred, but not required.
Skills:
Ability to read, write, and do basic math required.
Ability to count merchandise accurately
Ability to understand computer printouts
Communication - effective listening, speaking and writing
Ability to work in mezzanines and/or handling equipment up to 50 feet high required.
Operate computer - hand held and/or desktop
Responsibilities:
Load cartons and totes into trailer for delivery to Academy stores
Set up work area
Shrink wrap/stage pallets
Responsible for multiple shipping lanes
Secure loads to prevent damage
Arrange cartons on pallets keeping in mind size, weight, height to balance loads safely
Maintain safe and clean working environment by adhering to sanitation policies and procedures
Required to learn company policies and procedures
Required to learn company safety rules
Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements & Attendance
Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
Constantly stand, walk, reach, handle, use repetitive motions (hand/wrist/fingers) and feel; frequently required to stoop, crouch, use fingers, grasp, push, and pull; occasionally required to balance
Constantly lift up to 20 pounds; frequently lift 21 to 40 pounds; and occasionally lift 41 to 60 pounds
Occasionally climb stairs and work in mezzanines and modules up to 35 feet high
Ability to work in extreme temperatures required
Ability to hear and specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
