Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accountant, based in Cordova, Tennessee, United States. This role involves a wide range of accounting tasks, including financial transactions, auditing, and reconciliation. It is crucial for the candidate to be well-versed with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and have a keen eye for numerical details.Responsibilities: Handle and process various financial transactions including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets. Assist in auditing financial documents and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP. Regularly perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Provide quantitative information on the company's financial position, liquidity, and cash flows. Maintain and update the general ledger and journal entries. Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Handle month-end close procedures and prepare bank deposits. Utilize financial software such as Financial Edge and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for efficient financial management. Work collaboratively with other team members to help them understand accounting principles. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proven experience in the accounting field Proficiency in using accounting software and systems Knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management Experience in preparing Journal Entries Capability to handle Month End Close procedures Proven skills in preparing Bank Deposits Proficiency in using Financial Edge software Experience in using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
