Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team in the logistics industry, based in Cordova, Tennessee. In this role, you'll be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of outgoing payments to various vendors and suppliers, ensuring all processes align with our established policies.Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments via checks, wire transfers, or electronic transactions. Manage the entry and coding of invoices into our accounting system. Keep detailed records of all transactions and documents for auditing purposes. Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and address payment discrepancies. Support in the closing processes at month-end and contribute to accounts payable reporting. Oversee the review and verification of invoices and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization. Address vendor inquiries in a prompt and detail oriented manner. Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receipts. Requirements Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics industry Proficiency in data entry and high-volume data entry tasks Advanced knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with financial regulations, particularly in the logistics sector Willingness to continuously improve and update accounting skills and knowledge.
