The Product Engineer Intern will provide coordination and alignment to engineering goals.Responsible for understanding the customer's requirements to design, develop, and validate a solution using engineering methods (such as FEA, DOE, etc) to meet or exceed customer's performance requirements.
Support part proliferation activities to ensure a successful new business kickoff (ex: PDC, MDR, ECN).Generate and/or make changes to CAD drawings for new and existing products.
Support customer launch and post launch improvement activities to reinforce the trusted advisor trait.Able to take a high level of accountability and ownership for personal and company performance.Able to communicate both verbal and written with clarity and simplicity.Exemplifies a strategic-thinking approach and process to program management.Able to make decisions and use critical thinking and analytical approaches when weighing options.Nurturing an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture.Is outcome driven and applies the 80/20 principles to prioritize work demands.Pro-actively participating in ITW’s ‘toolbox’ initiatives (i.e., USa, 80/20 Philosophy, PLS, MRD, and In-Lining).Other duties may apply.
