PRIVATE PROCESS SERVER – LEGAL DOCUMENTS / INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
Tennessee process service business is seeking individuals with knowledge or interest in learning how to earn income as a Private Process Server, delivering legal documents to individuals. We are the “You’ve Been Served” people, although most of the time we don’t use those exact words as most are not difficult. We serve court cases such as evictions, debt collection, divorces, child custody matters, motor vehicle accidents, etc. We are not involved in criminal court matters.
We need people in counties west of the Tennessee River all the way to the Mississippi River. Seeking individuals who are self motivated and willing to work not only in their home county, but the counties that surround their home county. We will train the right person. Private Process Servers have the ability to earn income from not only our business but can also use their skills to work for other companies and attorneys at the same time.
These are Independent Contractor positions and you would receive a 1099 for tax reporting purposes. We provide the work for you but do not tell you when or how to complete the work. How much you earn depends on you. Most servers earn $500 - $1000 a week working as little as 20 hours per week. This is not a get rich quick job but it is decent money for a relaxing and sometimes fun job. Attempts to serve papers must be made at varied hours – morning, afternoon, evening and on Saturday’s so some flexibility is required. Civil process cannot be served on Sunday.
Excellent part time income for college students interested in law or criminal justice, retired law enforcement officers, security guards or anyone interested in learning a new skill associated with the courts. Again, we’d be happy to train the right motivated persons.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Good Moral Character with exceptional Honesty and Integrity values
Valid Driver License
Maintain a Reliable Vehicle
Ability to manage your money so you don’t run out of gas before the end of the pay cycle
Ability to Operate Mobile Phone App for entering service and attempts
Have and maintain a Printer and Scanner and the ability to operate it

We pay twice monthly for completed work. Independent contractors are paid for their work on the 1st day of the month for all work completed between the 16th and the last day of the month. Servers are paid on the 16th for all work completed between the 1st and the 15th day of the month.
Our business is well known in the legal community and has been built solely by word of mouth among attorneys across the state. We don’t advertise or have a website. We are the go to process server business for our clients because they know we go the extra mile to get the job done. The courts know that when a return of service and affidavit comes in from one of our servers that the service was completed correctly and legally. We served over 14,000 papers in 2024 with zero advertising and zero challenges about our service.
