Job Summary: Digital Press Operator & Bindery
The Digital Press Operator is responsible for producing all Digital press projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Coordinate workload schedule to meet customer timeframe requirements while achieving optimum productivity. Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output. Work closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.
As the Digital Press Operator and a member of the Production Team, you are accountable for:
· Meeting department production and quality goals as well as providing value to our customers

· Complying with all OSHA safety requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
General and Administrative
· Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
· Communicate effectively with the General Manager/Owner and the production team, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that customer objectives are met.
Press Operations
· Operate Digital Press will produce production and customized jobs
· Perform all press operator functions as noted on work order/job tickets
· Required and interface with the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and/or the Graphic Designer to receive color match approval prior to printing job
· Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment.
· Assist with job packaging as required
Equipment and Supplies
· Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures.
· Monitor and manage inventory of press supplies; paper order and sign stock as instructed by supervisor
· Inform supervisor of equipment problems
Required Qualifications:
· Legal ability to work in the United States
· High school diploma/GED with experience, vocational/technical certification, or equivalent work experience/on the job training
Desired Qualifications: ·
Vocational/technical degree in graphic arts, very helpful.
· Minimum of 5 years running Digital or offset sheet fed presses
· Digital press experience preferred
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Good mathematical skills
· Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
· Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation
Working Conditions:
· Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day
· Frequent lifting of objects weighing 30 or more lbs.
· Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
· Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
· Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
