Mechanical CAD Drafter
Job Description:
Provides complete and accurate CAD drawings of industrial machinery systems, assists in the design of oven systems and bill of materials. Responsible for the production of 3D and 2D technical drawings for client approval and shop fabrication.
Knowledge of AutoCAD with 2-3 years experience in SolidWorks is required.
Must be familiar with commonly used drafting terminology and symbols.
Knowledge of design and manufacture of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes preferred.
Must have the ability to work on multiple project simultaneously.
Must have a strong attention to detail and quality of work
Provides shop workers with accurate CAD drawings and fabrication cut sheets.
Maintains communication with customers, engineers and shop workers for any engineering/CAD related issues, including design changes.
Performs fieldwork, documentation, and drafting tasks of engineering data as requested by engineers, including onsite customer visits.
Performs regular computer software and maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting.
Assists engineers in the design and build of equipment.
Assists lead engineer with bill of materials and associated tasks.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
Travels with lead engineer during sales consultations with potential customers.

Salary: $45K/based on experience
Experience:
Solidworks 3D/2D Drafting: 2 years (Required) and working knowledge of AutoCad
Education:
2 year technical degree (minimum)
