Job Title: Triage Medical AssistantJob DescriptionAs a Triage Medical Assistant in our Emergency Room, you will be the first point of contact for patients arriving at the emergency department. Your main responsibilities include checking in patients, recording their vitals, and quickly notifying nursing staff if a patient is in distress and in urgent need of care. You will also be tasked with maintaining patient records, assisting in maintaining a safe environment, responding to patient requests, reporting changes in patient conditions to nurses or providers, and assisting with vital signs during triage. You will also be expected to contribute to our quality improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.Hard Skills
3 years clinical experience (MA certified or non-certified)
Ability to record patient vitals including temperature, pulse, respiration rates, blood pressures, oxygen saturation, weights, heights, and intake-output measurements
Ability to conduct phlebotomy as needed
Proficiency in entering and updating data on the ED tracking board
Soft Skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to respond promptly to patient requests
Ability to report changes in patient conditions effectively
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environment
