Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level, typically identified with a targeted exempt position. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments. This is a 10-week paid internship program.We are seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Continuous Improvement Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain valuable real-world experience by assisting experienced Lean/Six Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts in various Kaizen activities, conducting data analysis, and applying Lean Six Sigma principles to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:· Support Green Belt projects by assisting with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.· Participate in Kaizen events, including brainstorming sessions, problem-solving activities, and implementation of improvement solutions.· Conduct root cause analysis using various tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and Pareto charts.· Assist in the development and implementation of process maps and standard work instructions.· Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards project goals.· Prepare presentations and reports summarizing project findings and recommendations.· Other duties as assigned.
