Our ideal candidate is a confident rider with extensive experience working with horses, whether personally or professionally. We're looking for someone who can create unforgettable experiences for our guests.While guiding experience is not required, it is a plus. The trail guide will be responsible for safely implementing and executing daily trail rides as well as horse care and stable maintenance. They will be responsible for the overall experience of each guest. Each trail guide will ensure a consistently high level of professionalism, member satisfaction
and pride for the Big Rock Dude Ranch experience overall
Qualifications: Ensure stables and grounds are prepped prior to guest arrival and clean all areas thoroughly throughout and at the end of the workday which may include but is not limited to: stall cleaning, blowing, sweeping common areas, tack cleaning and general grounds maintenance.
Ability, to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Ability to stay calm in tense and potentially dangerous situations that may arise on horseback
Strong organization skills and attention to details
Ability to communicate clearly, maturely, and compassionately with members and guests of all ages. The physical demands of the job include, but are not limited to: lifting saddles, riding for extended periods, horse care and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
