IT Manager / Systems Administrator
Sky Firm is seeking a junior IT Manager / Systems Admin and/or possible college student who is obtaining a bachelors degree in CS/CE/EE. This position is the backbone for the companys IT and needs a young motivated candidate who will be learning valuable skills in their time here while doing real world work and gaining real world experience on virtual servers and physical servers, along with web/website development. This is a highly faceted position where challenges can change on a daily basis. Ideal candidate will have a Can Do attitude and be ready and willing to tackle the challenges at hand and those that arise!
Responsibilities:
- Manage mail server
- Manage Active Directory structure
- Manage third party applications like Google Suites and Google Drive
- Build and maintain hardware (mix of Windows and Linux machines)
- Work with third party APIs
- Troubleshoot end user support tickets related to any software, hardware, or third party issues
- Research new cost-effective solutions to decrease company cost while maintaining or increasing business efficiency.
- Moving servers and services to AWS in the future (Upcoming Project)
- Git or other version control tools
Qualifications:
- EE or Computer Science or relative work experience working in an IT department
- Knowledge of C/C/C#
- Familiarity with Bash, Python, and other scripting languages
- Knowledge of Vi and Nano
- Experience with MySQL and SQL Server (Preferred)
- Ability to work with web APIs such as Monster, LinkedIn, and Facebook
- Experience working with Ubuntu Server
- Good knowledge of Active Directory
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to source solutions for challenges that arise
- Ability to work well with clients and find solutions to their needs
- Positive attitude and a go-to-guy mentality
