We are looking for candidates who put the needs of patients above all else, are ethical and honest, treat everyone with dignity and courtesy, and do the right things in the right way.Position Goal:Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.Position Responsibilities:
Carries out radiology requisitions and views. Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed.
Operates all portables and C-Arm equipment.
Memorizes what views each physician requires on exams.
Assists patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient.
Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
Stocks necessary supplies.
Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
Assists with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.
Imports and uploads outside CDs for clinic.
Utilize effective communication skills (written and verbal) interacting with co-workers, other clinic employees, supervisors, and outside vendors.
Promote Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics role in the community by greeting and interacting with all patients, families, visitors, vendors, and guests in a courteous and respectful manner.
Provides support or relief for other staff as needed.
Demonstrates confidentiality in all aspects to include both patient and non-patient issues.
Reflect HCO values and is sensitive to HCOs ethical and compliance principals in his/her daily activities.
Promote resolution of concerns and conflict by routing through correct mechanism or resolving the situation.
Able to prioritize daily functions/tasks.
Display a willingness to put forth effort in problem solving
Other duties as assigned by Management.
Experience:Six months experience as a radiologic technologist required.
Education:Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
Current ARRT certification and current TN licensure.
BLS certification.
Special Qualifications:Required:
Knowledge of radiographic technique
Knowledge of PACS
Vast knowledge of muskuloskeletal anatomy.
Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
Working knowledge of all types of portables, C-Arm, CR and DR X-Ray equipment.
