Work with IP’s Disruptive Technologies in the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, and contribute significantly to strategic initiatives.

This position will work with the International Paper Intelligence Platform (IPIP), the internal Azure-based enterprise data and analytics environment.

Assist the Enterprise Data Visualization Lead in promotion, training, onboarding, delivering, and sustaining an Azure-based analytics platform (ADLS, Synapse, Azure ML etc.) as well as data analytics and visualization across the enterprise.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and identify opportunities for enterprise analytics.

Enhance the capabilities of our Azure-based analytics platform by assisting in the development of data & analytics governance solutions.

Provide consultation on Azure capabilities and technical assistance to IP’s analytics teams.

Assist in the overall development and implementation of an enterprise analytics upskilling initiative.

Implement best practices for creating visually appealing and engaging visualizations.

Ensure that data visualizations are effective in communicating key insights and driving informed decision-making.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all visualizations adhere to established enterprise standards for accuracy and consistency.

Monitor and evaluate data visualization trends and technologies and recommend changes to enterprise standards as needed.

Mentor less experienced developers and lead by technical example.

Identifying and implementing best practices and providing input into the development of enterprise-wide strategies and roadmaps

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Years of Experience 8-10 (Years can be supplemented with advanced degrees.)

Proven Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Thorough comprehension of data visualization best practices and techniques

Proven Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages

In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft Azure – Synapse, ADLS

Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate

Experience with Agile methodology

Experience with structured brainstorming or ideation
